Päiviö also provides open care plans for the need of child-welfare services. Open care plans are always voluntary and are based on the cooperation of the family in question. Open care plans are designed with the collaboration of social security, the child and the child’s family to support child’s safe and stimulating growing environment. We provide study and therapy services as well as peer group activities. Additionally, leisure and recreational activities are provided as well as rehabilitation and family work.
The rehabilitating study period involves an intensive 1-2 week goal-oriented period with the child/teen, where we work on schooling, welfare and on everyday life skills.
Support group, leisure and recreational activities are provided in the form of a camp. With the guidance of professional adults we offer different kinds of camps, including painting, music, wilderness, horseback riding and adventure camps.
Family work is to support a child’s growth and development, and to give support for parenting. One of the main objectives of family work is to strengthen the interactions between a child and a parent as well as interactions between parents.
Expressive art therapy is one of Päiviö’s know-hows and this knowledge can be utilized in accordance with the child’s and child’s family’s needs.
